Tanner Heads To Stateline With Confidence
Joey Tanner has a combined total of seven races on asphalt in his young carreer and this weekend Tanner will be introduced to Stateline Speedway for the first time! The rookie is coming off his best finish of the year at Yakima Speedway where he recorded a thrid place finish, and when asked about his weekend ahead Tanner replied. " I have never seen Stateline before, but that goes for alot of the other tracks the tour is visiting so I prepare myself for quick addaption to the tracks. Im very confident after last weekends run at Yakima and our team is getting closer and closer to that much needed victory!"
After last weekend of racing at Yakima Speedway for the Iracing.com ASA Northwest Tour, Tanner now has a comfortable lead in the Port City Rookie of the Year standings and has jumped to 7th place in the season standings after a rough start to the year. "The season has been tough so far. The first two races really set us back so we really have to dig to get back in the hunt." Although the season for the Iracing.com ASA Northwest Tour is at halfway Tanner still has some big races on his schedule. " We plan on attending the Montana 200 in July, and making a few big races in my dirt latemodel for the DirtCar 1-5 series so we still have alot of racing left" Tanner explains.
With only a dozen races left in the season for the Tour, Tanner is ready to make the charge to the top. The 19 year old Portland,Or native is on the rise as he chases down his dream in racing. Look for Tanner getting the job done in the Tidrick Quality Transmission, Jody's nuthin but fun, Action Jacksons, Phobia custom paint and graphics chevrolet this weekend!
